Hi all,

I am trying to install streams, but can't go past the initial setup page, where all is fine. It just reloads. What am I missing?

Ok, have sorted that out, but now I am stuck with a "redirect error" after the initial setup.

@mike Thanks for the hint. Inside the htaccess both paths have the ?req= set. I have mixed my running Hubzilla installation docu behind a reverse proxy with the streams install docu from codeberg and sure it is something which I am gone blind at the moment.

No, have no clue. When using the default.conf, I could visit the site (apache standard). When using streams.conf it is always redirect error. When setting AllowOverride to None, still too many redirects. This is what I get inside the log:

I have deactivated cookies for this site, still redirects. How do I change it to only get the login box?

EDIT: Have changed the index.php to a "Hello World!" text and that works. Don't know if that helps...

So, I did another test. Have switched to nginx, but still redirects. The webconsole delivers 21 redirects, see:

The first looks like a redirect from http to https. Header 2 does not appear to be a redirect there is no Location header

I'm pretty sure Connection: Keep-alive is invalid in http/2 . I used to use that to block spam, bots never send that.
Wonder where that is coming from.

My setup is
Internet --> reverse proxy nginx --> streams nginx.

The reverse proxy handles all the stuff with SSL and forwards to streams via http. Maybe I should do also https on the streams nginx to get it working?

For the connection: keep-alive: I have no idea...I will try to comment out all unnessecary stuff from the reverse proxy nginx. The streams nginx is quite the one from Codeberg.

I think if the server running streams is getting the requesf over http://80 instead of https://443 its going to cause the loop. Maybe @mike kmows the setting.

I haven't tried this proxy method mentionex here: attached but it might be what you want

Switched to SSL on the nginx streams, now I am a step further. The login screen is there! Hoorey! But, as always, I have to struggle with postfix...why can't it just work? :-)

So, thank you guys for getting me on the right tracks. If I am now getting postfix to work, it should be all ok. Let's see.

This is fun. Progress with little steps, but the end is near! ;-) Ok, so now it seems postfix is working, but I already registered the admin account and the resend verification code button isn't working. I only get a blank page. What could I do?

@mike Ok, this is something I don't understand. I have some Hubzilla accounts, each one can comment on each others posts. They have all "default" permissions enabled. When comparing the hubzilla accounts with the streams account, I get on the "Their" side all red marks and refreshing permissions from the hubzilla side show "Refresh failed - channel is currently not available". ~~I have no idea where to start looking for the right permissions.~~ That seems to be ok now for the commenting issue, but why all permissions are red at "Their" is still weird.
