CalDAV Calendar syncing with Thunderbird / Lighting

Just tested the HZ CalDAV Calendar once more. and with the android app DAVx it just works perfect :-) !!!

Than i tried it with Thunderbird / Lighting and here is what i found out:

I could NOT connect to any HZ CalDAV Calendar by CalDAV but by syncing the downloadable ics file. This was working fine if the ics file came from the account of the HZ CalDAV Calendar owner. If the ics file came from a shared CalDAV Calendar of a HZ contact this ics sync did NOT work, now idea why... is this a bug?

But why in the first place connecting by CalDAV does not work - is this something to work on an the Thunderbird / Lighting side?

Have you tried the addon TBSync? That works for me with my caldav calendars, but haven't tried it with Hubzilla yet.

Yes, works for me. :-) You also need CalDAV & CardDAV inside TBSync. Then use your username and as servername https://hub.domain.com/cdav.

it woks with the addons !!!!

if an CalDAV account is added by the addons you have to choose "Benutzerdefinierte Konfiguration" and NOT the "Automatische Konfiguration"

That's incorrect path. Correct is /.well-known/carddav
It return an access point which is requires authorization by default.

If the client supports discovery via the .well-known endpoint you should probably just enter as the url.

I've been using it since it was implemented in Hubzilla, synchronised with thunderbird and Android. I don't even remember the settings anymore, but they were pretty easy. It has never failed.
